Cadillac Fairview Joins CABA Board of Directors

CABA launches 2011 North American Intelligent Buildings Roadmap

CABA to hold session on Connected Home Roadmap findings

The Connected Home Roadmap 2010 study will conclude with a special presentation of findings on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at CBS Vision in Las Vegas and from POCO LABS by teleconference. The underlying purpose of this research program is a call to action to the home building community to understand, create and convey the value proposition of the connected home to the end consumer. Participating companies include: Bell Canada, Best Buy, Black & Decker, Direct Enrgy, Hydro One Networks, Ingersoll Rand, Microsoft Corporation, Moen Incorporated, Telus Corporation and Whirlpool Corporation. Connected Home User Interface Research Now Available

CABA sponsored a consumer research study that defined the specific attributes or baseline criteria of a "connected home user interface" for consumers when managing the connected home. Through broad concept testing of a whole home user interface, the study explored and helped answer numerous questions such as: What type of information and/or control do consumers really want, What are the delivery methods into and outside of the home, What devices should be integrated and many more. CABA assists New Building Institute's "Office of the Future" project
