Mr Herbst is the Global Director of Energy & Sustainability
Services at CB Richard Ellis. Mr. Herbst lines of service include: energy
supply procurement, demand-side programs, utility bill management, environmental
information services, green building practices, and general advisory services.
Mr Herbst oversees the CBRE Network of Corporate Energy & Sustainability
Program Managers. In this role, he is responsible for delivery standards,
management of best practices, strategic alliances, team building/training,
and lifecycle cost analysis services.
Currently, Ron is working on a number of strategic engagements to help
our Clients drive their Corporate Sustainability initiatives. His clients
are requiring assistance in assessing and improving their Global Corporate
Social Responsibility ("CSR") within the context of Real Estate
services. Client engagements include AMEX, BP, Lexmark, PG&E, Siemens,
Travelers St.Pauls, and State Street. Mr. Herbst assists our clients in
re-focusing organizations around Sustainability gaols. This work includes
re-aligning people through workshops, provide strategic assessments of
CSR practices, and helping implement action plans to connect CSR goals
to Real Estate practices.
Mr. Herbst joined CBRE with over twenty five years of demonstrated accomplishments
in managing engineering services, construction, and corporate energy programs.
He has successfully developed and implemented cost effective programs
with particular expertise on energy/water retrofits, intelligent building
design, combined heat & power plants, and high performance LEED Certified
Buildings. Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Mr. Herbst spent three years
as the Vice President of Energy Services for Abacus Engineered Services
where he was responsible for project services and engineering. Prior to
Abacus, Mr. Herbst worked twelve years with the EMCOR Group. At EMCOR,
Mr. Herbst led a variety of business units, including; a Controls subsidiary,
Energy Performance Contracting business, and led the start of their Corporate
Energy Services business.
