Noel Lee is President and Executive Head of Monster Cable Products, Inc.

Lee founded Monster Cable in 1979 after serving as an engineer at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory from 1972 to 1975.  He is affectionately known as the Head Monster.

Through Noel’s leadership, Monster has created an industry of high-performance consumer electronics accessories under a breadth of brands including Monster Cable, Monster Power®, Monster Mobile®, Monster Performance Car®, Monster Game®, Monster Music®, Monster Computer® and Monster Central ®. The company holds over 200 U.S. and international patents and offers more than 4,000 products in more than 100 countries worldwide from high-performance power conditioners, many of which have garnered esteemed Innovations Awards for pioneering vision and design.

Named Northern California Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, Noel’s leadership has earned numerous accolades.  Awards include The Anti-Defamation League’s Patricia Rienzi Legacy Award for his distinguished service to society and his industry and his dedication to the ADL’s democratic ideals, Distinguished Corporate Executive from the Asian Business League of San Francisco, Small Business Owner of the Year from the San Francisco Small Business Network, and Dealerscope Consumer Electronics Marketplace magazine's Hall of Fame award. He was also presented with a Humanitarian Award by the Los Angeles Unified School District for his generous contribution to their Employment Preparation Program, and was the first recipient to be honored with the Cal Poly Entrepreneurial Leadership Award. In 2005, the Brisbane Chamber of Commerce named him the  “Business Person of the Year.”


Ellis Lindsay

Ellis Lindsay is a Director of Solutions Incubation for Alcatel-Lucent, a global leader in telecommunications equipment and solutions. In this role he is responsible for assessing a broad range of strategic technology and market opportunities, and leading the creation of the resultant global solutions.

Previous to this role within Alcatel-Lucent, Ellis was a Director of Strategy for the America's region, with a focus on the Connected Home. Before joining Alcatel-Lucent, Mr. Lindsay was Associate Director, Consumer Services Development at Bell Canada, playing key role in the development of their VoIP solutions. As a Director of Strategic Alliances for Ubiquity Software, he was an early participant in the evolution of SIP solutions within the service provider community. Mr. Lindsay also has extensive experience in the Consumer and Enterprise software markets from Corel Corporation and Cognos Inc. where he held Product Management roles earlier in his career.

Mr. Lindsay is a graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.


Dr. Satyen Mukherjee
Chief Scientist, Senior Director Research Strategy North America

Dr. Satyen Mukherjee is currently a chief scientist and senior director for research strategy in North America. In this position he drives the development of a Philips Research Strategy in North America and identifies and drives cross program initiatives in research.

Prior to this he served as the ad interim managing director of Philips Research North America in 2005 following his function as the strategy developer for global Philips Research in the Integrated Circuits program. Over the years, Dr.Mukherjee has served as Department Head, Microelectronic Devices, Circuits and Systems at Philips Research, Briarcliff Manor, New York where he conducted research in a number of IC technologies, circuits and systems areas. His IC technology related research resulted in a number of high voltage and smart power IC technologies that have been transferred into production worldwide. In the power systems area his research resulted in the development of integrated power converters for dimmable fluorescent lamp ballasts, switch mode power supplies, battery chargers and displays. Additionally his research group developed several technologies and systems for wireless lighting controls.

Dr. Mukherjee holds a Ph.D. from Carleton University, Ottawa (1981) and a B.Tech degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India (1976) where he was awarded the President of India Gold medal for top ranking in all branches of Engineering. From 1981 to 1984 Dr. Mukherjee worked on physics and technology of EPROMs at Intel Corporation, Santa Clara.

In 1985, while working for Exel Microelectronics, San Jose, California, he developed the world's first 512K flash memory chip using a single transistor cell (also known in the industry as the NOR or ETOX flash memory cell) for which he holds the original patent. He has numerous patents and publications in journals, technical conferences and has made several keynote speeches at several conferences. He has also served in organization committees of a number of technical conferences such as the IEDM, ISLPED.


Carol Priefert
Senior Product Development Manager

Currently a Senior Product Development Manager, Carol Priefert has been involved in educating others about the needs of the household manager as it relates to the Internet and technology for over the past 11 years.  She is author of the book Home and Family Internet Resource Guide and lectures on the topic.  Priefert is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a BS degree in Family and Consumer Science and has taken MBA classes at Michigan State. She has worked for companies such as ED & F Mann, GE, and Merill at various product development and marketing positions.
