Home Networking Research Review

Tracy Dobesh, Senior Consultant, Zanthus

Home networks provide the foundation for many connected home systems and products. But home network adoption appears to be slowing. Why? Many mainstream consumers are maintaining a "wait-and-see" attitude. Those who do have networks are slow to connect entertainment or home control systems to them. This qualitative study sheds light on the reasons for these trends by examining the entire consumer experience—from the initial decision through search, purchase, installation, use and expansion. Learn from the end-user's point of view about the deal-makers and breakers when it comes to buying networked home systems and related services.

Digital Youth Study

Tracy Dobesh, Senior Consultant, Zanthus

This recent study investigates the technology-related habits and interests of youth aged 8-18 and their families. Understand the family dynamics at work when families learn about, shop for, and choose technology products and services. Who participates in decision-making? Whose opinion makes the sale? Learn which family members are engaged with certain products/services, and which ones Digital Youth place high on their "must have" list.

CABA's IHA Research Council is now prepared to share this important research and data with the industry. Organizations working with integrated systems can profit by understanding this important demographic sector.
