Terms of Reference

1. CABA's Connected Home Research Council overall objective is to provide a collaborative environment for members to work together to develop and test new, innovative home and commercial solutions.

2. The Research Council will have a minimum of six to eight research projects underway at any given time with a similar number under concept development.

3. Research project teams will utilize systematic and proven project management techniques to maximize the benefits of research collaboration for all participants.

4. The resulting research reports, white papers and executive summaries are made available to all Research Council members.

5. The Research Council will have an experienced team of project managers to provide day-to-day management of the projects and research reports.

6. Research Council members will have the opportunity to participate in roundtable ideation sessions at the yearly CABA Connected@Home Conference to determine relevant and viable product and service concepts for testing with the Research Council's collaborative research program.

7. The Research Council will receive administrative support from the CABA Secretariat.

8. CABA's Connected Home Research Council members must be with organizations that are CABA members in good standing.
