    The Continental Automated Buildings Association has announced that Eric Fournier of WattStopper/Legrand has joined the organization’s Board of Directors. Fournier joined WattStopper/Legrand in 2006. As Director of the company's Systems Business Unit, he is responsible for strategic directions and profitability of energy efficient lighting control solutions that seamlessly integrate with building automation systems.     The Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA) has added Qualcomm Incorporated to its Board of Directors. Grant Kroeger will represent the company on CABA's Board.     The purpose of the "Life Cycle Costing and Intelligent Buildings" collaborative landmark research study is to understand the issues and inconsistencies associated with adopting a sound LCC method as a prerequisite for investing in intelligent building solutions. The imperfections and redundancies associated with various aspects of current LCC processes needs to be identified, rectified and harmonized to the best potential to make its incorporation simpler, understandable and more commonplace.     CABA's Connected Home Council selected this landmark research study that will serve to create monetization models that define the process of transforming objects, services and organization into profits.     CABA will attend the Broadband Communities Summit in Dallas, Texas from April 15 to 18. Rawlson King, CABA's Communications Director, will moderate a blue ribbon panel that will examine bringing faster, lower-cost, reliable broadband services to commercial buildings. The panel presentation will be made available on the CABA Web site after the conclusion of the event. If you are in Dallas or planning to attend the conference, and would like to meet with Mr. King, please e-mail him directly at king@caba.org.
