Omar Siddiqui is Senior Technical Executive at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). He leads strategy, marketing, business development, and cross-cutting technical content for EPRI’s Energy Utilization RD&D portfolio, which spans the disciplines of energy efficiency, demand response, electric transportation, electrification, distributed generation, energy storage, power quality, and customer behavior. Mr. Siddiqui previously served for three years as Director of EPRI’s energy efficiency, customer behavior, and power quality research area. Before joining EPRI, Mr. Siddiqui worked at Global Energy Partners, leading business development and project management in energy efficiency engagements with utilities and government clients. His background also includes financial, mergers and acquisitions, and management consulting experience with such firms as J.P. Morgan, Kaiser Permanente, and A.T. Kearney.
Mr. Siddiqui holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He also earned a certificate for an executive legal program from the Vermont Law School.
