As of the beginning of 2005, more than 16% of U.S. households had a broadband connection, multiple PCs and a home network. To the extent that these three components comprise the 'heart' of the connected home, the concept has reached an important milestone. Now, it seems industry players should focus on how to best capitalize on this burgeoning digital infrastructure. The recently completed Digital Entertainment Needs Assessment study was designed primarily to help companies do just that.
