Nielsen presents the results of a survey of 27,000 customers in 55 countries conducted in March 2010 about shopping via the Internet. 46% bought books in the prior three months, while 41% bought clothes. One-third buy from online stores with no physical presence. 44% spend less than 5% of monthly budget online. 57% of customers read online product reviews.
